On May 22, 2021, we held a webinar on the topic of Clinical Trials. We were introduced to the Foundation’s new chief scientific officer, Dr. Claire Gelfman, and received an introduction to clinical trials by the Foundation’s senior director of science outreach, Ben Shaberman. We also heard from the following three guest speakers, who then joined Dr. Gelfman and Ben Shaberman for a Q&A session:
• Eddy Anglade, MD, vice president and clinical lead, retina at Janssen R&D US
• Paul Yang, MD, PhD, a clinical trial investigator at Oregon Health & Science University
• Samantha Vieira, MBA, BSc (Hons), executive director of ophthalmology at Biogen
