I’m Studying Writing the Way Ray Bradbury Did

I’m committing to an apprenticeship in reading and writing inspired by Ray Bradbury, author of Fahrenheit 451 and dozens of short stories, essays, and novels.

Bradbury believed writers are made through habit, curiosity, and joy—not shortcuts. So I’m putting that belief to the test.

Here’s what I’m committing to:
• Reading one essay, one short story, and one poem every night
• Writing one short story every week for a year
• Visiting my local library at least once a week
• Writing every single day

This channel is a record of that practice. Not perfection. Not productivity hacks. Just showing up, reading widely, writing often, and letting the work change me over time.

I’ll be posting weekly updates every Sunday to document what I’m learning, what’s working, and what isn’t. If you’re a reader, a writer, or someone who feels called to create—this might be a journey worth taking together.
