She found her dream career by walking past a sign on the way to university. Alice Blackwell's accidental journey into facilitation proves the best things happen when you stay open.
Alice Blackwell is a facilitator, workshop designer, and champion of participatory engagement. In this conversation, she shares how she went from studying Spanish and French to working in airport hospitality to discovering facilitation through an LGBT Youth Centre she stumbled upon walking to university. After being made redundant from ICA UK, she turned that push into a freelance career - and even started making and selling sticky walls on Etsy.
We explore why decisions shouldn't just filter down from the top, how to make online events people actually want to attend, and the tools and mindset shifts that keep Alice productive and connected as a solo entrepreneur.
