@MFEGoingDeep I had my eye on this location for some time as a place I wanted to check out but knowing this as a very popular destination for many fly fishing enthusiasts I knew I’d have to time it right so I could check things out without hindering anyone fishing or who might be getting ready to.
Being able to pilot the drone in and around all these fish was awesome to say the least! They didn’t seem too bothered at all but of course when I’m in a situation like this I try and keep things as slow and methodical as possible. I’m sure a lot of the fish were still recovering or trying to recover from their spawning activities and I do not want to cause any of them any undue or extra stress.
Towards the end of this video especially, you will notice some fish that had some large white spots on them. This is something I hadn’t encountered before and not wanting to take any chances I did forward some pictures to the Maine IFW Biologists for the region to make them aware of it. Might not be anything of concern but when it comes to something like that I don’t want to take any chances 👍🐟
