On December 15, 2025, in Laughlin, Nevada, located in the vicinity of Las Vegas, a woman operating a vehicle crashed into the backyard of a residence. Law enforcement documentation indicates the driver was traveling at high speeds, neglected to halt, and collided with a block wall. This collision resulted in the car becoming airborne and spinning through the air before striking the roof of a pool house and throwing the operator from the cabin.
The individual landed in the shallow water of a swimming pool belonging to resident Cletis Reed. Reed, who reported hearing a noise comparable to a freight train, discovered the woman in the pool. He and other bystanders removed her from the water; the woman remained awake and was groaning, though she was capable of standing and communicating with law enforcement officers soon after the event.
The operator was moved to an Arizona hospital to be treated for injuries not considered life-threatening. Authorities believe impairment may have been a factor in the incident.
