Every year the Siberian winds race across the Sea of Japan and blanket the island in snow. We wanted to find out if the legend of JAPOW (Japan + powder) is real. We arrived in Tokyo and took the high-speed trains to Hakuba Valley, home to 9 world-class ski resorts. We then hit Tokyo again for a night and headed north to Niseko on the island of Hokkaido. This was the trip of a lifetime to say the least.
