Cross-Cultural Exchange in Complex Situations | Marina Steiner

Описание: Marina Steiner is a Graduate Student in the University of Idaho Water Resources Program and a research intern with TerraGraphics International Foundation (TIFO). This past summer (2024), Marina spent a month in the Republic of Karakalpakstan supporting TIFO's environmental health project on the Aral Sea crisis. She is investigating the salinity and organochlorine contamination in drinking water, explicitly identifying temporal (seasonal and annual) and spatial trends in water quality over time. The long-term implications of this research will help identify highly exposed populations to inform targeted health intervention strategies.
