U.S is concidering major Sanctions on Uganda after Rejecting Mohoozi's Apology because of Bobi Wine

A major diplomatic row has erupted between the US and Uganda following a social media outburst by Ugandan Army Chief General Muhoozi Kainerugaba. The General, son of President Yoweri Museveni, briefly announced he was breaking ties with the US, accusing the American Embassy in Kampala of harbouring opposition leader Bobi Wine. Although Kainerugaba quickly deleted the post and issued an apology blaming “wrong information,” key US officials remain unappeased. US Senator Jim Risch, Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, unequivocally rejected the apology, stating that Kainerugaba has “crossed a red line.” Risch has urged the Trump administration to reevaluate its security partnership with Uganda, calling for immediate sanctions.
