The Texas House has rejected Senate amendments to HB 46.
The bill is being referred to a conference committee, which allows the House and Senate to reconcile the differences in their two versions of the bill.
House Conference Committee Members: Rep. King (Chair), Rep. Capriglione, Rep. Pierson, Rep. Tinderholt, and Rep. Turner.
Next Step: Senate will appoint 5 conference committee members.
FYI: Conference committee meetings are private, so there will be no public hearing or testimony taken.
Among other provisions, the committee is expected to hash out qualifying conditions and a controversial provision relating to background checks for and the disclosure of individuals who own more than 10% of a TCUP licensed business.
