Sunday Longplay - Grim Guardians: Demon Purge (PC)

Описание: This week on Sunday Longplay, I'm playing a brand-new Castlevania-style game from Inti Creates that just dropped last Thursday! Welcome to Grim Guardians: Demon Purge! This game is a spinoff of Inti Creates' rail shooter series Gal Gun, more specifically Gal Gun: Double Peace, even sharing its initials. Fuse that with Bloodstained: Curse of The Moon-style gameplay (also made by Inti Creates), and this is what you get.

Shinobu and Maya Kamizono are walking to Sakurazaki Academy in their school uniforms, having not attended classes for some time. A dark sphere suddenly envelops the area, and in place of the Academy, a hellish castle stands before them. The duo change into their demon hunting gear, and investigate the castle to search for answers. After defeating a particularly powerful demon, Kurona appears before the sisters. She reveals that the dimensions between the human and demon world have merged at Sakurazaki Academy, thanks to the "absolute power" she had obtained. This was part of Kurona's "miracle comeback of the century" in hopes of not being held back a year. She invites the sisters to face her at the top of castle before vanishing. Maya remarks that Kurona by herself shouldn't possess the power to do such a feat, let alone any demon.

Like Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, Grim Guardians: Demon Purge has two playable characters you can switch between on the fly, each with their own set of subweapons that consume ammo. However, rather than finding subweapons scattered throughout the stages, each sister gets a new subweapon after beating each boss, which allows access to new areas of each stage. There are also multiple paths through each stage with upgrades scattered throughout. There are also three different difficulties to choose from like in CotM: Casual, Veteran, and Legend (the last of which is not available at the start).
