The Testarossa replaced the Berlinetta Boxer as Ferrari's flagship model in 1984, and when it was designed, no thought was given to an open-top model. Nevertheless, a number of coachbuilding firms carried out the necessary modifications to make this a reality - twelve were indeed restyled at Pininfarina, mostly for the Sultan of Brunei and therefore fitted with a right-hand steering. However, none of this conversions were given the official blessing of Ferrari - except for a single example that Ferrari actually commissioned officially from Pinninfarina, Gianni Agnelli, also known as
"I'Avvocato", took delivery of this silver Testarossa Spider in June 1986 on the20th anniversary of his becoming President of the Fiat Group. This is the same exact car featured in this video. Since he has been experiencing problems with his left leg following a serious car accident in the past, this Ferrari was fitted with a special clutch that could be oerated automatically at the touch of a button.In 1991, Gianni Agnelli sold the unique car with original Turin license number TO 00000G to a friend.
