“I want to show the world that stage 4 cancer is not an automatic death sentence. My advice for anyone with stage 4 cancer is to advocate for yourself and find oncologists and surgeons who are willing to take risks to help you try to beat it. If you are battling cancer, it will be a roller coaster ride with lots of ups and downs. The important thing is to stay on the ride.

Dr. Fong is the hero of my journey. He literally saved my life when other surgeons rejected me. Although I hate my cancer with a passion, it has made me focus more on the present. I do not dwell on the past or worry about the future as much as I used to. The number of young people like myself who have been diagnosed with colon cancer has skyrocketed in the last 15 years.
