We’re back in the workshop for Episode 3 of The Surely, I Can Lab! 🔨
Today we’re finishing off the forstner bit holder for our tool wall. That means sanding, crosscutting with the mitre box, and attaching the french cleat backing. Along the way, we had to say goodbye to our old Black & Decker circular saw (RIP 😅) and welcomed a new budget-friendly saw from Power Action, a South African DIY brand.
This was just a short session (about 1–2 hours), but every small step counts! 💪 The goal is to keep building consistently until the workshop is fully up and running.
👉 In this video, you’ll see:
Sanding & prepping wood pieces
Crosscutting with the mitre box (getting smoother every time!)
Cutting french cleat strips with the new circular saw
Gluing & final assembly of the forstner bit holder
If you’re also a beginner trying to build a DIY workshop on a budget, you’ll feel right at home here.
