We commonly enjoy the sounds of tabla, mirdangam and other traditional percussion instruments in most Indian songs. It’s hard to imagine an Indian track without these sounds. It would seem incomplete right? That could soon be the case if the hands that make these sounds possible don’t get the support they need!
In this film, we take you to an obscure little town in Kerala, which is the only place in the world where some of India’s best known percussion instruments are made. Check out the film to see how these instruments are made, who makes them and why the craft is in decline!
