I got this delightful Leatherman Surge Multi Tool, it is completely legal to use in the UK as a tool, but carrying it without good reason is illegal. Two things make it illegal, a locking blade and a blade longer than 3 inches, any one of those makes it illegal, this tool has both, so maybe make the tool shorter, to be under 3", and cut off or bend back the locking mechanisms. Or find a good reason for carrying it! For now it stays in the workshop!
