📖 Abstract 📖
While the benefits of distributed computing are undeniable and have revolutionized IT, they do have some challenges. Architectures have grown increasingly complex and can be hard to understand and difficult to debug and test.
Chaos engineering is the process of stressing an application in testing or production environments by creating disruptive events, such as server outages or API throttling, observing how the system responds, and implementing improvements.
In this session, we'll see how chaos engineering with AWS Fault Injection Simulator can help improve our application's resilience and performance, uncover hidden issues, expose blind spots, and more.
📢 Speakers 📢
Gunnar is a Senior Developer Advocate at Amazon Web Services (AWS) based in Sweden. He has previously worked as both a frontend and backend developer, as an operations engineer within cloud infrastructure, and as a technical trainer, in addition to several different management roles.
With a focus on building reliable and robust applications, Gunnar has been one of the driving forces in creating techniques and tools for using chaos engineering in serverless. He regularly and passionately speaks at events on these and other topics around the world.
