USV × UAV interoperability has been a major development focus for DIODON. Over the years, the DIODON HP30 has been integrated and operated from multiple uncrewed surface platforms, providing extensive feedback in varied maritime conditions. These efforts have demonstrated the value of pairing a maritime UAV with a USV, particularly for extending coverage, increasing persistence and supporting distributed maritime operations.
This video shows the DIODON Launcher, a dedicated module enabling stable and reliable deployment of the DIODON HP30 from different USVs. The system is already in service with several units and was successfully demonstrated during a major NATO exercise, where it was evaluated across multiple platforms.
