📚 Description: Today we are taking a look at a ditched Gibson prototype apparently called The Gibson Nighthawk II. A successor to the original 1993 Gibson Nighthawk in a completely new design. Pretty much the only this this had in common with that 1990s model is the fact both are freakishly deformed Les Pauls. In fact, this model is more like the blending of a Gibson Vegas, Eye, Firebird Zero and Modern Double Cut model. My best guess is that this was meant to be Gibson's USA version of the Custom Shop Modern Double Cut - but with sharper horns to compete with Stratocasters. The carved flame maple top surely is interesting. Will Gibson release this model one day? Eh... probably not - but it was cool to see them trying to create something new with this Gibson original prototype from Gibson USA.
