Operation Rainbow Canada (ORC) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit medical organization founded in 1998. It provides free reconstructive surgeries for cleft lip and cleft palate deformities to children in developing countries. These congenital conditions can lead to malnutrition, ear infections, dental issues, and speech development challenges. Without corrective surgery, affected children may face social ostracization and limited access to education. ORC's mission is to transform lives by offering these essential medical services.
To date, ORC has treated over 3,000 patients, performing more than 2,500 surgeries across eight countries.

ORC operates without paid staff, relying entirely on volunteers and donations. The average cost per patient, including pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care, is approximately $500 Canadian dollars. Each mission costs between $35,000 and $100,000 Canadian dollars, covering medical supplies, operating expenses, and food for patients and their families.

The organization holds bi-monthly members and volunteer meetings on the second Tuesday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September, November) at 7:00 pm PST. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, meetings are currently conducted via Zoom. Prospective volunteers are welcome to attend.
