Supreme Court on August 31 ordered demolition of twin 14-storey towers of a real estate company Supertech in Uttar Pradesh's Noida. The apex court observed that the construction of these towers was in violation of rules and regulations and was illegal. The Court gave a deadline of three months to the company to demolish the towers at its own cost. In a landmark decision, the court also ordered Supertech to refund money of all the people who had booked flats in the towers.
