The Prokit 590 system lets you essentially build a caliper into your table. You can use this with a fixed stop, as shown in the video, for a true caliper. This allows you to put your products onto your existing table and measure them without handling a long caliper on top of your parts. Keep your parts on a flat surface so measurements are more accurate and less prone to human error, such as holding a caliper at the wrong angle.
This system is a good fit if you have an existing work cell that you need to integrate a measurement system into but don't want to introduce new elements. Simply build it into the table.
The scale acts as the bearing as well so you do not need to install a parallel bearing to use this system. The plate has many pre-drilled holes to utilize if you do not want to use the flat moving jaw. The carriage plate is anodized aluminum so it is easy to drill additional holes and mount the fixturing your need.
