how to crochet an easy and cute octopus! | crochet

These little octopuses literally give me so much life! I absolutely love them and I hope you do too :))) The pattern and materials are down below

---------- materials ----------
medium weight yarn in any color of your choice
medium weight yarn in white
3.5mm crochet hook
black embroidery thread/yarn OR safety eyes
scissors
embroidery needle
superglue
stuffing

---------- pattern ----------
BODY:
round 1: single crochet 6 into a magic circle (6)
round 2: single crochet 2 stitches in each stitch around (12)
round 3: single crochet into the first stitch then single crochet 2 stitches into the second stitch. Repeat all the way around (18)
round 4-6: single crochet around (18)
round 7: single crochet into the first stitch then invisible decrease. Repeat all the way around (12)
STOP HERE TO ADD EYES AND STUFF THE BODY
round 8: invisible decrease all the way around (6)
round 9 (tentacles): single crochet into the first stitch. Chain 3. Single crochet into the second chain from the hook and single crochet into the next chain (you should have one “base” single crochet then two single crochet “stacked” on top). Repeat all the way around for 6 tentacles.
Close the gap on the bottom of the body and fasten off. Weave in the end.

MOUTH:
round 1: single crochet 8 into a magic circle (8)
FASTEN OFF and weave in the ends. Glue or sew on the mouth to the body.
