ETHICAL ELEPHANT TOURISM: THE BEST WAY TO SEE ELEPHANTS IN THAILAND

Описание: Seeing elephants was one of the main reasons we decided to go to Chiang Mai, Thailand, but for us it was vital that the elephants were treated ethically. After much research, we settled on Elephant Nature Park, which treats elephants with the respect they deserve but have historically rarely been granted. Although it was very different from the elephant experience I’d had on my previous trip to Thailand, I came away feeling absolutely great. In a way, I missed the fact that I couldn’t feed the elephant directly into its mouth, and I would have loved to have fooled around in a lake and bathed with one. Of course, being better informed this time round and knowing that this is potentially harmful to them, I was glad to put my own feelings to one side, take a step back, and mostly observe these gentle giants. Thank you so much to Elephant Nature Park who not only treat their elephants, dogs, buffalo and other animals with utmost respect, but for paving the way for so many others to do so as well!
