32 Gallon Biocube 09/2022

Описание: Sorry video cut out on me, tank has been running for approximately 2 months. The cycle was about a week or two only because I used my live rock from my 45 gallon cube I broke down.

My parameters are steady with Alkalinity between 8.6 to 9, my Calcium is 420, Nitrates at 10 and Phosphates at 0.03. I don't test Magnesium at this time as I do a 5 gallon water change weekly with Redsea coral salt the blue bucket. PH is 7.8 when lights are off and 8.1 when lights are on. I would like to keep it 8 and above all the time but I'm working on it. As my demand increases for dosing I will eventually dose kalkwasser as well to help the PH and to add additional calcium. Salinity is between 1.025 and 1.026, temperature is kept at 78 degrees.

I purchased a media basket from Intankaquatics.com which houses my filter floss, chemipure blue and chemipure elite media bags. I highly recommend their media basket if you have a Biocube or another type of all in one aquarium. It is designed so the water has no choice but to pass through the media. I ordered a small roll of filter floss cheap on Amazon. I just cut right size squares out of it to fit the top of my media basket. I replace it 2 to 3 times a week and since I have so much from that one roll and how cheap it is I just throw them away when I switch them out.

I like to feed my fish and keep them fat and happy. this makes them healthy and takes away aggression for such a small tank. I feed a mixture of frozen enriched brine shrimp and PE Mysis shrimp twice a day.

My ecotech radion xr15 Gen6 Blue runs at 50% intensity for approximately 10hrs with ramp up and ramp down of about 30 minutes. I run a mix of AB+ from the mobius app and what WWC runs their tanks on. I do 4hrs of all blues and cool whites at 50% intensity and then all blues for 5hrs at 50% intensity. The last 45 minutes or so I run Royal blue, UV and Violet only for the ramp down, this makes the corals glow like they are under a black light.
