Eriskay Liston: How can genomics help my patient?

The fifth annual Ted Rogers Centre Heart Failure Symposium was held virtually for the first time, Dec. 4-5, 2020. This meeting, which blends clinical innovations with the latest scientific advances, has grown to become Canada’s largest conference on heart failure.

On Saturday, December 5th, we held a symposium for primary care practitioners who manage patients with heart failure, as well as other front-line health-care professionals. Experts addressed a range of topics from telemonitoring to genomics to practical considerations for each patient to developing one’s own heart function clinic.

About the speaker:

Eriskay Liston, MSc

Eriskay Liston is a genetic counsellor and the Director of the Precision Child Health initiative at The Hospital for Sick Children. She is also a member of the Ted Rogers Centre’s Cardiac Genome Clinic at SickKids. She has extensive experience in this critical area and a keen interest in helping integrate genomic medicine into clinical practice. Before joining the SickKids genome diagnostic lab in 2011, Eriskay was genetic counsellor in prenatal and cancer genetics at the New York Presbyterian Hospital.
