DN SEA Elestra Guide (Ice Stacking Rotation)

Finally! I have created a guide for ice stacking since it's the only complicated thing on Elestra. Elestra rotation mainly consists of ice stacking/debuff and filling your skills in between.

Notes on the rotation:
1. Do not use ice thorn right after glacial field as the field itself provides ice stack. So, unless the boss breaks the ice or you miss the explosion of the glacial field, do not use thorn immediately.
2. Try to use Shatter as much as possible, even though it's 30% freeze rate only, as it serves as an ice stack also. It gives your ice thorns that is on CD more time. You tend to lose less ice stack on the latter part of your runs. If it's a fast run, e.g. nests/dungeons, feel free not to use it.
3. Distinguish the icons of frostbite and freeze. It helps you know if you still have ice stack or no. Can also use sound cues for this. The freeze from ice sphere/ice thorn is different than frostbite however, the freeze from Shatter and Glacial Field is same with frostbite. Key difference is the duration. Shatter is 6s (same as frosbite) but does not reapply so it constantly goes down. That's the indicator for shatter. For Glacial Field, it's more than 10s so that's the indicator for it. Frostbite is 6s and everytime you apply frostbite skills (icy shards, f. field, c. mist, and f. spikes, g. spike), it reapplies.

POST 3rd Awakening and Rework
So what are the changes on Elestra?
1. Thorns have a faster CD now so it’s easier to ice stack.
2. Glacial Field ticks reduces the Thorn cd by a little bit.

Tweaks:
1. Post-rework, you can now throw your Thorn right after you cast GF and not suffer much on ice stacking. (I highly suggest on not doing it before)

Note:
a. Raid-wise, I still recommend to wait for the ice from glacial field to be removed before throwing your 1st thorn. This is because raid bosses tend to break ice stack often so you should keep your thorns as much as possible.
b. Also, make sure you throw all your thorns before the thorn duration ends since the CD is now shortened so even if you throw ALL of your thorns, you'd still have enough until the next cast of glacial field.
