COSTA RICA | Ziplining at Monteverde Extremo Park | El Establo Mountain Hotel | Poco a Poco Hotel

Описание: In this episode (Part 3 in this Costa Rica Travel Series), I'm taking you along as I travel around the beautiful country of Costa Rica in November 2021. We're in Monteverde, going zip lining with Monteverde Extremo Park and I give a daylight room tour of my hotel room at El Establo Mountain Hotel.

We had breakfast at the hotel's restaurant near the entrance and it was a served buffet.

The ziplining canopy tour (ziplines, “Superman” zipline and “Tarzan swing” with Monteverde Extremo Park is a lot of fun, however it is a very active experience. This zipline tour does involve some hikes up the mountain and with the altitude (we were at over 7,000ft or over 2,100m at one point) it can make it a bit more of a challenge if you're not used to the altitude.

The Macaws are not in any cage, however it is something to note that they are not native to this part of Costa Rica, especially the “Golden Macaw”.

We also saw some “leaf cutter ants”, they were really neat to watch.

After our canopy tour, we stopped off at the Poco a Poco hotel for a site inspection of their property.

During our nature walk on their property we saw an “Agouti”, which is a rodent the size of a cat.

After the site inspection I asked to be dropped back at our hotel while most of the others continued onto the Monteverde Cloud Forest Bio-reserve for a hike. I unfortunately wasn't feeling great after eating breakfast, so I took something for my stomach, then cooled down in the hotel's pool before taking a much needed nap. For dinner we went back to Poco a Poco Hotel and ate at their “Otocuma” restaurant. Dinner was absolutely delicious. If you're ever in the Monteverde or Santa Elena area, I highly recommend eating and staying here. We finished off the night enjoying the fire pit with wine and dessert.
