Come along for a day of jump hunting in Alberta with my Wirehaired Griffon, Sullivan. This hunt was all about firsts and making memories.

First Goose Retrieve – Sully stepped up in a big way, bringing back his very first goose. Seeing a young hunting dog put it all together in the field is something you never forget.

Jump Shooting Waterfowl – With my Girsan shotgun in hand, I managed to take a goose and a duck while sneaking along the edges of the slough. It was classic Alberta waterfowling.

Catch and Cook – After the hunt, I cooked up the duck for a fresh field-to-table meal. Wild game doesn’t get any better than that.
