On May 11, Carson City Public Works hosted its annual Open House. In honor of National Public Works Week, May 19-25, here’s an overview of all the great activities featured at this year’s Open House. If you missed it we hope you join us next year!
The American Public Works Association has annually celebrated National Public Works Week since 1960. This week public works professionals throughout the nation, including Carson City, are being honored for the vital services they provide. Public Works and are responsible for rebuilding, improving and protecting our transportation, water supply, water treatment and solid waste systems, public buildings, and other structures and facilities essential for our citizens. Mayor Bob Crowell proclaimed this week as National Public Works Week, May 19-25, 2019. This week and every week, be sure to thank your public works professionals, engineers, managers and employees and recognize the substantial contributions they make to our community’s health, safety, and quality of life. #CarsonProud #NationalPublicWorksWeek #PublicWorks #NPWW
