KUT listener Justin Clemens was curious about who changes the light bulbs in the towers, so he reached out to KUT’s ATXplained project.
Multimedia producer Michael Minasi spoke with professor and researcher Bruce Hunt at the University of Texas at Austin to find out more about the origins of the towers, and then went straight to the source of electricity in Austin – Austin Energy – to speak to the man in charge of the linemen that continue to scale the 150-foot towers today.
