My name is Jeneve Williams and I am a winemaker at Marks and Spencer. M&S can really help you get it right for Christmas lunch, a bit like having your own personal sommelier‪. To make it easy for you we've selected the wine for every course.‬ With the Aperitif, the champagne Louis Chaurey. This is a rich flavoursome Champagne that consistently does well in wine competitions. It actually won a silver in the recent international wine challenge and also the decanter web wine awards. Then with the start, the Sancerre Les Ruettes Sauvignon blanc from France. This wine works well with seafood, salmon and goats cheese because it's got a lovely acidity and it's very fresh, lovely pure fruit characters.

With the main course there is the option of the rioja from Spain, this wine is matured in oak which gives the wine a smooth palette with vanilla characters. And then a secano estate Chile pinot noir. Obviously pinot noir is a variety mostly known with Burgundy but this one is from Chile.

This will work really well with turkey. It's got really fresh mineral characters and a delicious wine to have at Christmas with all the accompaniments of turkey.

Finally with deserts and sweets. Instead of port, which we have a fantastic selection of at M&S. We've chosen instead our 5 year old sweet marsala, which won silver at the IWC awards. It goes perfectly with nutty cheeses and Christmas pudding - thanks to all the dry fruit flavours. Then we have the chenin blanc from the Loue Valley, the sweet coteaux du layoff beaulieu, perfect with lighter deserts such as trifle. It's also perfect with blue cheese and a cheese board.

All of the wines can be ordered online and it's really convenient because you can have them delivered to home. Whatever party event you've got, be rest assured that Marks and Spencer have got the best wine variety for you.
