Met Office sub-seasonal forecasting tool - supporting the water industry

Описание: We’re working with Thames Water and Ofwat to create bespoke sub-seasonal forecasts for water companies to highlight the risk of high clean water demand and weather-related impacts on wastewater operations further in advance than currently possible.

The service was launched to the water industry in January this year, with a trial service being delivered to the sector from March 2024 for the next 12 months. This video explores more about the science behind the tool and how it is used in practice.
