Chinese Inspired Custom Designed Home in Toronto, Canada

Описание: The beautiful owners of Memorable Mann are of Chinese descent and when coming with ideas I wanted to add light touches from their heritage without being overwhelming. You'll notice this throughout the home where you'll see lots of reds symbolizing luck, joy and happiness along with blues found in the Chinoiserie pattern of Chinese tea sets and pottery.

In the entry, we went with a full length mirror as well as vertical moulding along with a unique, organic tree console table and custom art pieces + accessories. In the dining room, we added accent moulding, an abstract art piece, and this massive 10 person custom marble table with blue chairs that have a pop of red colour along the piping. Finally, we found this stunning floral light to bring the space together.

For the living room, we already had this beautiful custom millwork completed so we just decided to accessorize it with a lot of unique, sculptural pieces, books and greenery. Opposite the shelf, we went with an oversized sectional, a marble coffee table and a really unique sculptural chair all the way from Portugal. I've been meaning to order this chair forever and finally found a perfect home for it.

In the kitchen, my initial plan was to go with a booth but then I found this beautiful made-to-order bench that I had to pick up and that matches the two toned chairs we selected. For the table, we found an earthy custom white oak table that complements the modern vibe of the home and brings it all down to earth - perfect for everyday breakfast use.

The master bedroom was an empty canvas so we started with detailed moulding on the wall and a picturesque mural of nature which almost amazing mirrors the forest outside their home. On either side of their massive king bed we found these linen nightstands, globe table lamps and beautiful accent pieces.

Overall, I'm thrilled to have worked with this couple - it gave me an opportunity to really tailor the home to their cultural roots while keeping the place modern, fresh and functional for this couple that loves to entertain and be the life of the party.
