These animated and semi-animated graphics are all written in C (some of the standards are different due to newer libraries, like SDL and SDL2).
The first animations which are in a Linux terminal are actually the output of a raytracer and I just rendered it in the terminal with + and - signs. The rest is first with C glut graphics libraries which are old and that I did not like. The rest with the fast animations are made with SDL/SDL2, which is a platform-independant graphics library for C/C++. I like it a lot. I am currently testing it and I'd like to eventually use it for all my GUI and animation needs, accompanied with parallel programming techniques, so that I can obtain decent graphics for applications (and potentially some light games) which do not depend on the power of the video card of the computer running it. Because the library is already platform independent, I think this is a great combo to try and make applications that run on most machines, making distribution easier. This would also permit to focus more on the programs themselves than on how to make them run on different machines, and the headaches that go with that.
