Lama Lodu Rinpoche led and gave Teachings for the Amitabha Zoom Practice Group on 9.27.25, hosted by KDK Arcata-Eureka Satellite Group.
Venerable Lama Lodu Rinpoche has been the Spiritual Director of the Kagyu Droden Kunchab (KDK) Dharma Center in San Francisco since 1976. Rinpoche was born in Sikkim and at age 8 entered Rumtek Monastery, the seat of His Holiness the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa, the Supreme Head of the Kagyu lineage of Vajrayana Buddhism. Rinpoche was trained by His Eminence the 1st Kalu Rinpoche Kyabje Rangjung Kunkyab, the senior meditation master of the lineage. Rinpoche has worked tirelessly to benefit sentient beings throughout the world. He has led multiple groups of Westerners on Three Year Retreats, erected marble stupas, and gives teachings at centers spanning the entire world. His Holiness the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa once described Lama Lodu Rinpoche as “a lama who has highly developed his inner practice.” Rinpoche’s teachings are clear, unique, and profound, giving time for question and answer to clarify students’ understanding and ensuring they have the full capability to engage with the practice and benefit not only themselves, but all sentient beings.
