Background:
Technical Death Metal probably wouldn't be most people's first choice when trying to find a genre to readapt to orchestra but after my last cover I was really craving something on the faster side. So I landed on Sapphire, an amazing track by Fallujah that has been a favorite of mine ever since it was released back in 2014.
I knew some of the more technically insane stuff like the double kick parts wouldn't translate well but you'll still hear some of that speed and fury at key moments throughout the piece. Still, there's a lot going on here and probably some figures that are too demanding for some of the instruments being used (my condolences to the trombone section, especially).
