May 9th, 1984: ECSF game in Boston Square Garden the Knicks take on the Celtics for game 5 of the ECSF showing some intense battles. The main event was when Danny Ainge fighting with Darrell Walker resulting in a bench-clearing brawl. Walker was fined $500 and Ainge fined $750. And The other 14 players drew an automatic $150 fine for leaving their respective benchs. M.L. Carr and Dennis Johnson of Boston were fined an additional $200 apiece for throwing punches.
Fined $150 apiece were New York's Bill Cartwright, Len Elmore, Eric Fernsten, ernie Grunfeld. Louis Orr, Rory Sparrow and Trent Tucker, and Boston's Carlos Clark, Gerald Henderson, Greg Kite, Kevin McHale amd Scott Wedman.
