Brief About Appropriation of Payments:
The allocation of one or more payments to one particular debt out of several owed by a debtor to the same creditor is known as Appropriation of Payments. The rules as to where the payment is appropriated are contained in Sec 59-61 of Indian Contract ACT, 1872.
