This is the second video for making a coaster with mini Sashiko.

In this video, I will stitch a traditional pattern called Dan-tsunagi (repeated steps) using the Hitome-zashi method which uses grid lines for stitching. This design is for a 20x20 grid. I am using 5mm squares for the grid but you can use 1/4in squares instead (in that case, the frame size will be 5in x 5in).
This is a very basic and easy pattern to stitch so it's great for the beginners!
