Infectious Bronchitis (IB) merupakan penyakit akut yang sangat menular dan mengakibatkan kerugian ekonomis yang tinggi pada industri unggas. Penyakit ini disebabkan oleh Infectious Bronchitis Coronavirus atau IBV.
IB menyerang saluran pernapasan sehingga ayam terlihat ngorok, bersin-bersin, dan terengah-engah. Selain itu penyakit ini menyerang juga saluran reproduksi, yang menyebabkan kecacatan pada telur seperti cangkang yang tipis, lunak, dan berwarna pucat.
IBV dapat dicegah dengan penerapan biosecurity yang ketat serta melaksanakan program vaksinasi yang tepat.

Infectious Bronchitis (IB) is an acute disease that is highly contagious and causes high economic losses to the poultry industry. This disease is caused by Infectious Bronchitis Coronavirus or IBV.
IB attacks the respiratory tract, so the chickens are seen snoring, sneezing, and gasping. This disease also attacks the reproductive tract, which causes defects in the eggs, such as thin shells, soft and pale in color.
IBV can be prevented by implementing strict biosecurity and a good vaccination program.
