In this week's episode of Guitar Talk we check out an absolutely beautiful guitar!
This is one of the first 1957 Gibson Les Paul Customs from Gibson's Historic Collection.
The Gibson Custom Shop, as a stand alone unit, started in 1993.
We traced the serial numbers and confirmed with Gibson that this is indeed one of the very first '57 Les Paul Customs to be released by the Custom Shop in '93.
Because they were just taking off and really trying to make a name for themselves, the quality of this instrument is second to none. I've seen a million Les Paul guitars, and this one stands as one of the finest.
