Super Mario Bros. Definitive is a ROM hack that merges all levels from Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels into one seamless game. It runs on the MMC3 mapper and includes several tweaks inspired by Super Mario All-Stars and All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros.

Key features:

Adds a brand-new World 9, based on glitch levels.

Worlds A through D from The Lost Levels have been increased in difficulty by implementing modifications from Super Mario All-Stars. Specifically, Hammer Brothers now always charge the player, enemies gain a speed boost, all Goombas become Buzzy Beetles, all springs in World B are now red instead of green, and all Fake Bowsers now throw hammers. Unlike Super Mario All-Stars, Bowser in World 9 and World D now shoots fire as well. 45:46

Includes bugfixes from All Night Nippon.

Graphical updates, such as SMB 3-3 becoming a snowy night stage and visual consistency changes.

Gameplay adjustments: no one-block gaps in water stages, 5 starting lives and continues, 128-life cap, fixed life counter.

Luigi improvements: All-Stars physics (better control) and SMB Deluxe palette. 1:04:48

Rules from Lost Levels apply to both games (physics, fireworks, hidden 1-UPs), while enemy speeds stay faithful to each source.

New continue system: save the current world and resume with A + Start.
