As part of Ciyo's Jazz Reggae Meltdown series, special guests are invited in order to participate in an evening that consists of rich mixes of jazz and reggae as well as other musical themes. Friday 4th october 2013 at the Hideaway Live, was a very special evening that saw Ciyo and Carroll Thompson blend their respective skills to produce a beautiful collaboration. However, what can be heard here, is a track that opened up the second set...Bob Marley's "Concrete Jungle" from the "Catch a fire" album. The band performed this track exquisitely, capturing the moods from both jazz and reggae genres. The audience was mesmerised and paid full attention to the sonic details that oozed from the stage in abundance...this is a truly amazing rendition of one of Bob Marley's greatest tunes ever...
