In the late 1930s, Talbot-Lago built less than 25 of the super-exclusive T150 C-SS chassis, justly famous for the iconic Teardrop Coupé body by Figoni et Falaschi that it was usually fitted with. It was a race car for the road and thus the greatest pre-war sports car chassis was born. The T150 C-SS was nimble, fast, and truly exciting to drive. The Grand Sport is the direct post-war descendant of the fabulous T150 C-SS.
The 1949 Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport Cabriolet featured here is 1 of only 3 T26 Grand Sports surviving. The exquisitely detailed and refined coachwork is by Carlo Delaisse, and is possibly the last significant Talbot-Lago to remain in unrestored condition.
This Grand Sport represents a world of possibilities, easily enjoyed as-is or offering its next owner the opportunity to restore and show the car where it would most certainly perform extremely well.
