The long tracks in particular are often quite easy even without all boxes. Most other times if you get all boxes and don't fuck around too much you should be fine. A select few tracks are absolute nightmares though, namely N. Gin Labs. All of this was done on my first playthrough of the game (Nitro-Fueled Mode on Hard difficulty).
