An empty ethanol train runs at the new, faster track speed on this part of the Chicago sub. Led by a pair of SD40-2 engines.
The third catch this day of of blue and yellow leaders. With so much leased power used on the Canadian Pacific Chicago sub, this was an unusual day. And thanks for the wave, guys.
Went to the jump edit again on the long opening view looking east. I've always thought it interesting to watch an approaching train as it climbs and descends the grades over a long straight stretch. But probably boring for many viewers. So this might be a good compromise. Every jump is 15 seconds.
This completed an all standard cab, all Canada day.
UP NEXT: Who knows... out of town for a few days on the job.
