Mothership Materials is turning agricultural waste into the foundation of a carbon-negative bioeconomy. It is the first to apply the concept of textile sorting to molecules, using two proven, de-risked technologies—continuous flow density gradient centrifugation and silica-based capture particles— combined in a novel and groundbreaking way. Its solution, TRACE™, is a mobile, modular platform that operates directly at waste sources. It captures critical molecules like sugars and cellulose needed for bio-based textiles, food, and personal care. By turning the carbon currently wasted into the carbon we critically need, TRACE™ relieves the burden on food and agricultural systems while eliminating emissions at scale. Low cost and circular by design, TRACE™ creates new revenue streams for farmers, reduces supply chain handoffs by up to 80%, and delivers critical, sustainable inputs for industries across the globe.
