This video documents the second part of a cycling adventure to climb Mayodia Pass, located at approximately 9,000 ft above sea level (0:29). The pass is known for its steep changes in elevation (0:40) and challenging conditions due to the Mihar wildlife sanctuary (0:52), home to various animals like the Bengal tiger and Himalayan black bear. Unpredictable rain and fog (1:00) also add to the difficulty of the climb.
The journey begins with a 2-kilometer downhill stretch, followed by a steep uphill climb of over 50 kilometers (1:16-1:27). The cyclists face a "grilling climb" (2:13) and encounter the infamous fog of Mayodia, which significantly reduces visibility (2:58). Despite the challenges, they continue their ascent, reaching a point 20 kilometers from Mayodia (5:20) and later the Chikopani bridge (7:15), with Mayodia still 15 kilometers away (7:05). The cyclist describes the final 8 kilometers to Mayodia as "one of the toughest climbs" he has ever done (8:59-9:16).
