You are invited to join us from 9am on Friday 29 November in recognition of World AIDS Day 2024, to acknowledge that people living with HIV are not forgotten and that we continue in our efforts toward the prevention of HIV, the removal of barriers to testing & treatment and access to services without judgement and stigma.


Morning Session: Official Community Launch and Panel discussion
9.30am: Opening address by keynote speaker
The Hon. Mary-Anne, Thomas MLA, Minister for Health, Minister for Health Infrastructure, and Minister for Medical Research.

9.45am: Official welcome
LPV President, Craig Brennan.

10am: Reflections on the issue of inclusion of PLHIV
Prof. Graham Brown & Heather Ellis, speaking on issues associated with HIV and ageing and their personal journeys of living with HIV as people over 50.

10.30am: Morning Tea

11am: Community Forum
Moderated Dr Catherine Barrett (Celebrate Ageing) with Panelists John Cain, Dimitri Daskalakis, Bev Greet & Adam Bratt. A Panel discussion will focus on Living and Ageing well with HIV around topics such as long healthy lives, aged care support and ageing services.

12pm: Lunch
