Just a quick video of how I put together our saltwater mixing station for our reef tank. It mixes salt and pumps water from the basement to our tank on the first floor perfectly. I tried to identify all the parts and where I purchased them in the video and below.
Thanks to my wife and kids for their help and support in putting this together. I love you all!!!
Quick shout out to my brother Justin who did all the electrical work for me. Light it Up Electrical...best electrician around.
Parts:
The 4-Stage Advanced RO/DI Filtration System, 1” uniseal, 1” double slip bulkhead fitting, all double union ball valves, Hydor Koralia Evolution Circulation Pump (850 gph), Finnex 200w digital thermostat heater, Pan World 50PX magnetic water pump, and Aqua FX booster pump kit (not in the video) were all purchased from Marine Depot. I’ve found them to be competitive with anyone’s prices...quick shipping and good service.
The Aquatic Life float valve kit, Etekcity WiFi outlet, Tektube 3/4” ID/1” OD clear vinyl tubing and 3/4” uniseals were all purchased through Amazon.
All pvc, elbows, tees and the 3/4 barb fitting for the vinyl tubing were purchased at a local hardware store.
The spigot splitter and 32 gallon brute containers were purchased from Home Depot.
I didn’t go over the stand in the video, but it is just made out of 2x4 and 3/4” cabinet grade plywood.
I hope this helps anyone interested in building a similar setup. Good luck!
